I’m exhausted, not physically, but mentally. And that’s when I understood how my parent felt when they work.


Chinese new year came in an blink of an eye. Firstly, Happy chinese new year to all readers. 1 day before new year eve, me and yu hui slog our guts out trying to finish all the stock that came in. we juggle between stock taking, cashier, security guard, and even accountant. We are so “lucky” -.-. well, it’s not that tedious since there are 2 people looking after 1 shop, but problem start arising when 1 person have to do all this things by himself. Yes, that person is me, and yes I am complaining!

768 guardian might seems to be small and u know, relatively quiet. But when the stocks come in, that’s when the problems started to arise. I have to check stock, and look out of thief, and be alert whether there are customers making payment at the cashier, because I’m the only cashier around … Well, you can’t expect a job to be simple eh? BUT you can’t expect a part timer job to be so tedious right?!

There are 2 reason why I keep blabbing that the job is tough. One, I only have 1 pair of eyes, u can’t expect me to do all that by myself right? Even if the shop is small, I can’t juggle between so many task role by myself, I’m just a 16s!* taken from teng lei quote* Two, the stupid stocks came at around 3pm-6pm, and that’s when all the crowd came in! I dunno why, but those Bangladesh like to come into the shop in 1 group, and I have to be alert so they don’t steal anything. Actually the first and second reason are almost similar, and I’m not being racist or whatever. Those Bangladesh like to shop shop, and never buy anything …

To be fair, the manager is quite good to us. She bought us stuff that need to be cleared up by the week. But just like what yu hui said last time:” she might have another motive, and that is to make sure we work hard for her…” Doing closing is suppose to be for those upper rank, but we, part-timers, have to take on that responsibility too…

sometimes I wonder if I am being the bad guy complaining all day long about job being tough, or their human manpower is not being handled properly…
